Diva Taunia had been performing as a jazz and cabaret vocalist for over twenty years, but had always had a passion for dancing. As a morbidly obese woman, she didn't have many opportunities to her passion for dance, and after having weight loss surgery in 2008, she decided that she would begin to look for ways to start.

After being called to do a Valentine's Day performance for a 300 seat venue in 2011, she had the idea to create a burlesque group for the show and the venue loved the idea.

Her mission was to create a performance space for anyone and everyone of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, and performances levels. She wanted to create the kind of opportunities for other women (and men!) that she never had. She called a few of her performer friends, who told their friends, who told their friends and the Diva Taunia Dolls Burlesque & Cabaret show came to life. The group became a 50+ cast and crew and sold out their first two shows!

Now, the Dolls have an open-door policy: everyone is welcome in the group, and there is a role for everyone at whatever level they're comfortable at.

The Diva Taunia Dolls pride themselves on being the Southern NH & Greater Lowells biggest, baddest, and ballsiest song and dance production with fully choreographed and costumed dance numbers, burlesque numbers, and good ol' fancy raunchy (but fun) humor.
